Mr. & Mrs. Dan Kensel

New Tribes Missions

Hi, we are the Kensels. Dan, Deb, John, James and Steven. Our field of of ministry is overseas in Thailand along the central west border with Burma. We work with the Southern Pwo Karen people group. We have been working with the Karen in this area for five years. Our goal is to help establish a biblically functioning church. We work in the areas of teaching and discipleship and hopefully we will start producing materials for outreach by the end of this year. There are roughly ten people who have trusted Christ as their savior. We are thankful to the Lord that these men and women have trusted in Him for the renewing of their spirits and minds. We feel there may be more people that have trusted but at this point it is not clear what they understand. We have had new partners now for two years, the Reeses, Richard and Wendy. Wendy's father and our former partner George Pierce went to be with the Lord in December of last year. His wife, Gwen, still stays here with her daughter and son-in-law.
We are thankful to the Lord for all of His provisions through our years on the field here in Thailand and we are thankful to South Apalachin Baptist Church for being a major partner in the evangelism done here with the Southern Pwo.
